How It Works!
I believe that truly understanding your pet’s behaviour begins with building a connection, showing compassion, and following a structured, thoughtful process. Whether you're navigating fear, anxiety, aggression, or other behavioural concerns, I’m here to walk the journey with you using a personalised and science-based approach.
Step 1: Get started by reaching out through the website or via WhatsApp. Share the behavioural challenges you’re facing with your dog or cat. If you’re not sure whether a behaviourist is the right fit, we can arrange a brief introductory call to talk through your concerns.
Step 2: Complete a pre-consultation form. You will be sent a short form designed to give me insight into your pet, their environment, daily routine, and the behaviours you're observing. The more detailed your responses, the better I’ll be able to assist you.
Step 3: Booking confirmation
To secure a consultation:
- Submit the completed form
- Send proof of payment
- Share any requested videos of your pet’s behaviour
This helps me start preparing for your session ahead of time.
Step 4: Behaviour consultation
We'll have a 90-minute consultation, either in person (if you're based in Johannesburg) or online. During this session, we’ll explore your pet’s history, emotional well-being, and the specific challenges you're facing. I’ll help you understand the underlying causes of the behaviour and outline how we can work together to support positive change.
Step 5: Post-consultation support
After our session, you will receive:
- a personalised behaviour plan with practical, actionable steps tailored to your pet’s unique needs
- A vet report (if required)
- Two 30-minute online check-in sessions to track progress and make any necessary adjustments
- Continued support via phone or email to guide you along the way
Every step is designed with your pet in mind
Whether you're supporting a fearful rescue or navigating anxiety-related behaviours, I recognise that meaningful change takes patience, empathy, and consistency. My approach centres on building trust, understanding your pet’s emotional world, and providing practical guidance that works for both of you.
